Missio Statement

Mission Statement

     BosKidLit Collective is a group of BIPOC creatives in the Greater Boston area. We strive to create a community for local kidlit writers and illustrators of color in which we encourage professional growth, offer mutual accountability, share helpful resources related to children’s publishing and work to amplify diverse voices in the children’s publishing industry

     Members should live in the Greater Boston area and may be pre-published, agented, traditionally published or self-published.

History: In 2009, Amitha Jagannath Knight began the BosKidLit Calendar. In 2022 she teamed up with Jennifer Cheng DesAutels, Janaea Eads, Emily Sun Li, and Lisa Stringfellow to begin the Boskidlit Collective.
